Updated: Dec 12, 2019

TCA Conquerors Basketball hosted the Braves of Terry Parker High School Tuesday night for a JV/Varsity double-header that turned into two very exciting matches.

Junior Varsity: Trinity 45, Terry Parker 40

Khori Jones earned Player of the Game honors with clutch shooting very late in the fourth quarter. Jones nailed a three-pointer to put the Conquerors ahead to stay and then converted two free throws with just seconds left to seal the win. Jones finished the night with 11 points, including a pair of threes in the second quarter that helped the Conquerors build a 23-17 halftime lead.

The Braves fell behind by nine early in the third but stormed back to eventually take the lead. Parker used seven points by David Hamilton to help outscore Trinity 13-5 in the third quarter to make the score 30-28 Trinity by period's end. Hamilton finished the night with 10 total points.

Tomarion McCray tied with Parker's Charron Dorsey for the game-high point total of 13. McCray spread his total evenly throughout the game while Dorsey got 11 of his 13 in the fourth quarter to help Parker come back from an eight-point deficit, the second time Parker made such a run.

The Conquerors also got 8 points from L.J. Kelly, 6 from Jacqary Sineus, 3 each from R.J. Albury and Josh Robinson, and 1 from Seth Bialek, whose fourth-quarter defense included clutch rebounds and steals in addition to the disruption of shots and passes that helped keep Parker out of the cylinder. For Parker, Darwyn Palmer scored 7, Jawan Evans had 6, and Elijah Harris and Kaden Smith each added 2 in addition to Hamilton and Dorsey's combined 23.

Varsity: Terry Parker 59, Conquerors 50

Trinity's Miles Brooks and Parker's Chris Victor (Player of the Game) tied for the lead with 18 points in much different ways. Brooks sank eight field goals and two foul shots while Victor garnered six free throws and six baskets, including a crowd-pleasing alley-oop. Victor sank four free throws in the second half to help his team build a late lead that Parker would not relinquish.

The Conquerors led 14-10 after one, and Parker took a 28-26 lead into halftime. Parker led 39-35 after the third. Trinity pulled to within one point at 45-44 with under four minutes left to play, but Parker pulled away from that point on. Tubari Rollins converted three foul shots in four attempts, and Matthew Rivera, Antonio Riley, and Nigel Burke added four more.

Xavier Cobb finished the night with 10 points for the Conquerors to follow Brooks's 18, and Donavon Paris totaled 8. Travis King had 5 while George Hawkins added 4 and Evan Wilson contributed 3.

For Terry Parker, Rollins followed Victor with 14 points, and Burke and Lokose Natana each totaled 9. Rivera and Erwin Alouidoer each scored 3 while Riley and Terry Wims had a free throw apiece.
