Coach Easterling is a Jacksonville native. He provided his coaching philosophy in his own words.
"I have coached athletes from the ages of 3 through 18. I learned the game at age 8 and fell in love with the science of basketball. For the past 30 years, I have been developing my craft as a player, trainer, and coach. In 2015, I created and coached a non-profit youth organization in honor of Petty Officer Julian Augustus Woods. This youth program develops boys and girls in the game of basketball on and off the court. In addition, I have experience as a head coach, assistant coach, and executive, which teaches basketball from all points of views.
"I firmly believe in teamwork and a positive culture. I believe all athletes are special and have the potential to succeed on and off the court, but what they do when no one is looking will determine their success. Nevertheless, I am extremely thankful and humbled by the opportunity to coach at Trinity Christian Academy. I am eager to teach a fast, up-tempo brand of basketball, which will further this year's players and future student athletes' game beyond middle school."
Trinity Christian Academy Athletics is pleased to have Mr. Thesis Easterling leading the middle school program.
